Alice Seale has more than twenty years of experience developing relationships with national retailers and developers expanding retail brands and project leasing. Her expertise in the commercial real estate market stems from positions with ING Clarion, Trammell Crow Company, First Hartford Realty, Blockbuster Video,Tuesday Morning, Zale Corporation, and Sewel Family. Currently, Ms. Seale is consulting with Fantastic Sams in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex.
During her tenure at First Hartford Realty, Ms. Seale opened the Southwest regional office that was instrumental in the initial conceptual development and leasing of a 1.3M square foot open-air specialty retail hybrid, The Shoppes at Rio Grande in Edinburg, Texas. In addition, she served as the leasing executive where she negotiated letters of intent, leases and sale contracts with anchors of junior box, pad site and specialty retail tenants. She also remerchandised all Texas and New Mexico portfolio shopping centers.
As Development Manager for Blockbuster Video, she managed all phases of real estate development for a 5B video retail chain. She analyzed and reviewed markets for possible new development and asset management in Chicago, Illinois and the Midwest area. At ING Clarion, Ms. Seale was responsible for leasing at Waterside Shops, a high-end specialty retail center in Naples, Florida with sales per square of $500 and anchored by Saks Fifth Avenue and Jacobson’s. Previous positions also include leasing director for Trammel Crow Company as well as real estate representative for major US cities, Tuesday Morning.
Ms. Seale is also the founder of the SMART TALK SMART WOMEN Luncheon, an annual mentoring and networking event for retail real estate executives. She speaks at retail real estate industry events and has recently co-authored a book titled Winning Ways in Retail Real Estate: 18 Successful Women Unveil the Tips of the Trade in the Real Estate World.
She previously served as chair of the Program Committee for the International Council of Shopping Centers and co-chair of Government Affairs for Commercial Real Estate for Women.
